The onliNEOLITHIC talks started in December 2020, aiming to share new data on the Neolithic of Western Asia with a multi-vocal approach, bringing together views from various sub-regions of this geography. We focused on the patterns and variations of Neolithic lifeways in Anatolia, Mesopotamia, Levant and the neighbouring regions. Our wish was to disseminate data and perspectives on the Neolithic through a new sharing environment for scholars, as well as young researchers and to establish a permanent sharing network.
The participation and interest in the first round, led us to organize the second round, which started on the 24th of November 2021 and ended in May 2022.
We dedicated the onliNEOLITHIC II to the memory of Ofer Bar Yosef, an esteemed and pioneering scholar in Neolithic research, whom we have sadly lost recently.
